Officially appointed as a Non-Executive (NED) Board Member of the London Chamber of Commerce & Industry 'LCCI' at the 139th AGM held on 20th September 2021, Dr Abisogun was re-elected earlier today (09.09.24), without opposition, and committed to continue to Serve on the Board of the LCCI, as agreed at the AGM, held at their HQ, in Central London.

In a joint celebration and announcement - via kind invitation from Alderman Prem Goyal OBE - Dr Abisogun has also been featured in the coveted London Business Matters 'LBM' Magazine [September / October 2024 edition] ....... the official magazine of the LCCI which reaches in excess of 10,000 London based businesses.
...... as his written piece on page 32 refers
The 'business case' for 'digital asset management' for asset owners (or the 'Accountable Person' under the Building Safety Act 2022) of all shapes and sizes, has now been made and the core values of the DTSA brought to bear in the form of the 'core findings' of the final (Phase 2) Report, thus giving life and legitimacy to the seven (7) year long campaign by our Founder. Since the tragic fire on 14th June 2017, Dr Abisogun has sought to make the entire process of design, procurement, construction and asset management; more collaborative, transparent and accountable; now commonly referred to as the Golden Thread of Information Management.
Alongside the Lord Mayor of the City of London, we continue to make the case for London to become a 'Smarter City' that benefits all Londoners, regardles of their socio-economic background .....
The tragedy of Grenfell Tower, has delivered a damning, unambiguous and huge wake up call for the UK construction sector and set in train the wider need to adopt a 'digital first' approach to the way that we build and maintain the built and managed environment ........
It is itme for the entire sector to 'upskill' and focus on the solutions that will evolve from and have been suggested by, in recognition of the myriad recommendations, narrated by Sir Martin Moore-Bick, on behalf of the UK Government and the wider group of Grenfell 'GUC' survivors (and their families) who are now demanding justice.
Commencing 11am on the 4th September 2024, the industry was labelled "incompetent, dishonest and greedy" with the further acknowledgement that "all 72 deaths were completely avoidable".
As such the industry must now set about delivering both cultural and systemic change, in seeking to win back the public confidence which has completely evaporated over recent years, due largely to the slow pace of remediation work, to those HRB's / higher-risk buildings identified as being 'at risk' due to the presence of non-compliant external cladding.
